The NHS My Planned Care website is updated weekly. It is a great resource for patients, as well as their family, friends and carers, to check waiting times for each speciality in your local area.
If you are looking for an update, it is a good idea to check this website before contacting your hospital or GP.

Please note: the waiting times on the My Planned Care platform are calculated by adding all waiting times and then dividing them by the number of patients. Therefore, the times only offer an overall average per specialism. Specific wait times will be shared with you when you receive your appointment.
Note: these waiting times do not apply to patients undergoing diagnosis or treatment for cancer.
